    Member Services Coordinator
    Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce
    This position is a full-time position and is responsible for the general administrative tasks of the office, tasks associated with membership services, and attendance at Chamber sponsored events.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Establish and maintain a professional image and relationship with all members, including, but not limited to contacting and visiting members on a regular basis to ensure the Chamber is meeting their needs and expectations pertaining to Chamber membership
    • Contact and solicit businesses/organizations for new membership
    • Update content and pictures on the Chamber website
    • Organize and maintain membership information at the Chamber office, i.e. business cards, brochures, etc.
    • Maintain “New Membership Lists” at all times
    • Coordinate and schedule ribbon cuttings with new members
    • Non-commissioned ad sales for annual Hernando Magazine
    • Answer incoming phone calls
    • Distribute and coordinate all incoming and outgoing mail, including requests for relocation packet information, membership information, and general requests from outside the Chamber
    • Assist in the coordination and reservations for all Chamber sponsored events as needed, i.e. Better Business Breakfasts, Quarterly Membership Luncheons, Sunset on the Square, Water Tower Festival, Christmas Open House, Parades, etc.
    • Publish weekly e-newsletter on a timely basis
    • Participate in solicitation of sponsorships for various events
    • Maintain Chamber social media
    • Attend all Chamber sponsored events
    • Assist Executive Director as needed
    Job Qualifications / Requirements:
    • Sign Confidentiality Agreement
    • Experience in the following software programs (or the likeness thereof):  Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Experience in social media platforms
    • Ability to maintain all information at the Chamber in a confidential manner
    • Ability to establish and maintain a professional rapport at all times
    • Ability to continually stand or walk long distances
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
    • May occasionally work in temperatures over 80 degrees and below 32 degrees
    • Ability to have a flexible schedule when needed (nights, weekends, etc.)
